The importance of partnership
At MiiR, we recognize that driving positive change only becomes possible when you choose to align yourself with passionate, supportive partners who have a vision to make the world a more beautiful and equitable place. Collaboration and partnership are now more important than ever, and we want to use every opportunity to make connections and amplify good work.
Inspired by the Japanese concept of Gaman (我慢), translated as “enduring the seemingly unbearable with patience and dignity,” Dana and MiiR have created a suite of custom products which help support Preemptive Love, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting those most vulnerable to the effects of COVID-19.
For every Tanamachi Collection product sold $5 goes directly to Preemptive Love and their work around the world.
Dana Tanamachi is a New York City-based artist and designer who enjoys living a quiet life and working with her hands. After working under design icon Louise Fili, she opened Tanamachi Studio, a design practice specializing in murals, packaging, lettering, and illustration. Her signature style, a blend of Art Nouveau and Japanese-inspired motifs, has landed her commissions by clients such as Starbucks, Target, Nike, USPS, Penguin Books, Instagram, West Elm, and The Obama Foundation.
